The project TENDERNESS4LIFEaims to promote the professional development of low skilled adults working in elderly care, by developing a new job profile, an assessment tool, a modular training course and a good practice guide to empower elderly care workers, providing them with a complementary and alternative curriculum, based on a humanistic approach.
Description
In terms of expectations, TENDERNESS4LIFE project aims to get more prepared elderly care workforce, able and skilled to deliver care services to older adults, and thus promoting their quality of life and dignity.
The project outcomes will enable care providers to implement a set of tools to enhance professional qualification of low-level elderly care workers, as well as to increase their competences that can directly influence their self-esteem, leading to higher levels of motivation.
The consortium of TENDERNESS4LIFE project is composed by 7 organizations from different fields of work, that contributes to a multidisciplinary partnership, putting together VET schools, training providers, care providers, universities and networking organizations. The partnership aims to promote innovation in the field of training and education of elderly care workers, by development and conception, exchange of knowledge and practices and introducing mobilities in Europe.
Goals
- To identify the new job profile and competences for elderly care, which is emerging from the contemporary changes in care services.
- To develop a multimedia training course to enhance the competences of low skilled elderly care workers, to perform a better job role.
- To pilot the B-learning training course for elderly care workers.
- To create a good practices guide based on a humanist approach to support elderly care settings towards.
