Talent Match is an exciting new Big Lottery Programme worth £100 million nationally which aims to enable young people, who are furthest from the labour market, to secure employment or take up enterprising opportunities
It will focus on 18-24 year olds who have been out of work, education, or training for over 12 months.
The programme aims to achieve the following outcomes:
- Improved confidence, optimism and support for young people who have been unemployed for 12 months to lead successful, fulfilling and useful lives
- Young people secure employment, take up training or further education or create their own employment and enterprise.
One of the areas that have been identified for funding is the Liverpool City Region, and MEH have been appointed as the secretariat for the area.
Up to £6.3 million has been ring fenced by the Big Lottery to be spent in the Merseyside area over the next 5 years and they are looking for 1 prospectus from the whole of the area to be submitted to them by the 5th November.
Our role as the Secretariat, is to be the single point of contact for the Liverpool City Region programme.
To facilitate the development of the local Talent Match Programme.
Engage with young people and employers about what should be delivered in the Liverpool City Region.
To oversee the selection of the lead partner process and to support the lead partner in developing the Liverpool City Region
We have just identified Merseyside Youth Association as the preferred lead partner for the Liverpool City Region.
