ERASMUS FOR YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS (EYE)- VISION (inVestment on socIal coheSION)
The VISION project aims to empower small and medium social enterprises in playing an active role in facing the current economic challenges. The project involves three organizations (CESIE - Italy, Merseyside Expanding Horizons - UK and Euromed Connect Coop. Ltd – Malta), who will support 36 young entrepreneurs, 12 in each country, who are planning to start their own co-operatives, associations, NGOs and no-profit organisations, in experiencing a period abroad to be trained by an experienced organisation.
The relationships build amongst new and host entrepreneurs, involved in the same sectors e.g. cultural promotion, health and social assistance, education and research, environment, responsible tourism and others, will benefit both participants: in terms of gaining new experiences for the first one and in terms of access to new skills and innovative knowledge for the second one.
VISION project lasts 21 months from 1st May 2012 to 31st January 2014.
Erasmus for YoungEntrepreneurs helps provide aspiring European entrepreneurs with the skills necessary to start and or successfully run a small business in Europe. New entrepreneurs gather and exchange knowledge and business ideas with an experienced entrepreneur, with whom they stay and collaborate for a period of 1 to 6 months.
The stay is partly financed by the European Commission. Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is financed by the European Commission and operates across the European Union with the help of the local contact points, competent in business support e.g. Chambers of Commerce, start-up centres, incubators etc. Their activities are coordinated at European level by the Support Office of the Programme.
