SALARY: £21,176 - £27,534 p.a.    HOURS: 37.5 per week

Merseyside Expanding Horizons is a Third Sector support organisations which delivers and manages social inclusion projects in partnership with organisations across Merseyside and Europe

Journey to Employment is an innovative project which supports people with disabilities with job search and accessing employment opportunities through peer led Job Clubs and one to one support.

An exciting vacancy has arisen for 2 Community Employment Specialists (1 in St Helens and 1 in Birkenhead) to work with unemployed people with disabilities, local employers and also members of the community who volunteer as mentors.

The Community Employment Specialist will be responsible for coordinating activity on the programme in their respective area, including Job Clubs, Employment Hub sessions, Employer Engagement, and in work support.

The role demands that successful applicants will have experience in supporting people into employment, delivering training and working with employers. Personal experience of disability or an in depth knowledge of disability is desirable too. The post holder will be working in one of the 2 areas, and will need to be self-motivated and able to meet targets.

Transnational Cooperation Activity "Recognition and Validation in Adult Education"

Transnational Cooperation Activities (TCA) encompasses a range of events, seminars and workshops, which enable Erasmus+ National Agencies (NAs) to collaborate and share best practice across Europe. The overall aim of the activities is to improve the quality and impact of the Erasmus+ programme at a systemic level. When planning a TCA, National Agencies refer to the objectives set out in strategic documents such as Europe 2020 and the EU Youth Strategy.

Merseyside Expanding Horizons has attended a Transnational Cooperation Activity "Recognition and Validation in Adult Education" in Toledo, Spain (6-9/11/2016).

This activity has been organised by the Servicio Español para la Internacionalización de la Educación (SEPIE) and supported by the UK Erasmus+ National Agency.

We have been trained in Erasmus+ programme, Epale platforms and Europass certificates. We have also been trained in Adult education and Validation, we have received professional advice on how to work in partnership to develop a project idea for a strong Erasmus+ application. We have met more than 40 participants from across Europe and shared inspiring experience and ideas. Merseyside Expanding Horizons is already working closely with partners met during the training activity in Toledo.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to provide day-to-day Operational Management and Development of the Joseph Lappin Centre. This person will have experience of project management and development and be committed to work within and for the community to identify community needs, project development, and fundraising applications and maintain an up to date knowledge of funding available within this sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and creative person who is able to create a shared vision with a variety of stakeholders and community members

Salary for the post will start at £23,000 pa

Internship in NGO - Project Management
